Finishing Trims Technique

Step 1. Hoop water soluble backing (alone).

Step 1

Position a piece of fabric over the hooped backing. You may stick it over with temporary spray adhesive that will hold the fabric in place.

Step 2. Insert hoop in to your embroidery machine, load a suitable design and embroider the first thread. You may use any color because it'll be hidden.

Step 3. Remove hoop from machine and trim unnecessary fabric away as close to seam edge as you can. DO NOT CUT water soluble backing.

Step 3

Step 4. Return hoop to machine and finish stitching design.

Step 4

Step 5. Remove hoop from machine and unhoop the embroidery. Cut away excess water soluble backing. Wash away water soluble backing and hang to dry. Press. Finished.

TIP: You can also use these designs as regular embroidery. In order to use this particular design as regular embroidery you need to skip over first thread.
